So far with my experience with Twitter has been okay but it can be better. I have personally been using Twitter for five years so I know how to use it well. However it is hard for me to remember that I have one for this class because I am so used to only having the one account. To do better with this, I plan on putting notifications on my phone reminding me to tweet. I have found this project beneficial because I get to interact with my classmates and get to see what others think are important regarding education. This Twitter account might be helpful in my future career because I could show future employers that I have been interested in education for a long time and am well versed in what is going on in the education world.
The digital divide can affect success because if students are on the negative side of it, they may not have the technology do complete their school work or may be stuck with lower grade technology that won't give them the results they need. However, if they are on the positive side of it, then they have access to technology and have the new versions of it. This will help them very much in completing work. A cause of the digital divide can be money. Some schools may not have the money to update their computers or computer systems so the students don't have as much access as they could. Students not having access to the new technologies affects them as a student and myself as a teacher. When I am a teacher, I plan to be able rent computers/laptops/tablets or talk to the parents and take their students to the library so they will have access to all the new technologies.
I think I will be using Adobe Creative Suite for graphics the most out of the student software because I want to teach kindergarten and this is the most appropriate for this age group. Graphics are a great way to teach, especially when the children can't read fluently. I think I will be using Math Analogies the least because at this age group, these students cannot complete math problems yet, so this software would be unsuccessful in the classroom.
