As a student, I have used Microsoft Word throughout middle school and high school and all of my teachers have used it too. Microsoft Word has always been what we used for homework, assignments, and essays as students and the teachers using it to post instructions on the projector. However, through the past couple years, we have stopped using Microsoft Word and started using GoogleDocs. I think we really started using GoogleDocs because it automatically saves all our work and we have share what we are working on with others easily and it goes along with GoogleClassroom.
I have had a lot of experience with copyright and fair use of materials from being in the IB program at my high school. From being in this program, we have had to turn our essays and assignments in on websites that tell our teacher if we plagiarized our work or not. We also focused on how to site all of our sources correctly to make sure we would not get in trouble for accidentally plagiarizing. As a teacher, I would also check my students' work on websites that say if they plagiarized their assignment or not and if they did what parts are plagiarized. I would also come up with my own assignments and instructions for them so the students cannot find them online and copy another student's work they found on the internet.
One of the implementation issues is cyberbullying. For this issue, I would follow all the students online to monitor what they are posting, to make sure it is appropriate for the class and for the other students. Other issues that this brings up is the freedom of speech and right to privacy.  For this I would send a paper home to the students and parents saying that for the class to be successful, I have to monitor what they say and post for the safety of that student and the other students in the classroom. If they do not wish for me to follow the child, protecting the student's privacy and their freedom of speech, then I would give the student a separate assignment where they are not apart of the social media project.
