There are a lot of Web 2.0 tools that would be very helpful in the classroom. Personally, I think Edmodo, GoogleDocs, and Engrade would be the most useful. I have used Edmodo and GoogleDocs in the past and they have been very successful. They are very easy to use and the information can be easily shared. Although I have not used Engrade before, it sounds like a website I used in middle school and high school doing the exact same thing. I used ProgressBook and Engrade sounds just like it. I do not think Slideshare would be very useful in the classroom because it can be done on GoogleDocs, and the students do not need to be flustered with so many websites.
I think that bubble.us is a very interesting Web 2.0 tool. It allows the teacher to write out the students' brainstorming ideas so they can see them all and how they can connect to each other. It lets the students see all of the ideas at once. I think it would be very productive in the classroom.
I think 3D printing holds the biggest promise for education. We've been using different websites for ages. Moodle and Edmodo are different websites with the same function. There are other websites like these and there are different types of websites with the same problem. 3D printing is something that is still newer to us and something that we can still explore. 3D printing can turn ideas into objects and can let students examine things they wouldn't be able to without it. For example, students could study atoms or dinosaur bones- something they wouldn't be able to do without the 3D printer. I believe students could get a better education with one.
